Website Performance Issues

So, we had been noticing that there our website has sometimes been slow.  We finally paid a little attention to that and it seems to have helped.  Sorry for the slowness before!

Precinct Splitting Letter

UPDATE – 10/27/11:  The proposed precinct split has been tabled for now.  Thanks to everyone that got involved.  Over 900 signatures were submitted on the petition.  More information will be sent out in the future if this needs to be revisited.

Precinct Splitting – the Carroll County elections Supervisor, Becky Deese, has submitted a request on behalf of Carroll County to the Department of Justice, Voting Section in Washington, DC, to close the Fairfield Plantation voting precinct and have our community split between the Sandhill and Hulett precincts. To ensure that the community is aware of this potential change, the Board has requested and received permission from Ms. Deese to publish her letter of request. The letter is available for residents to view on the fairfieldplantation.com website.

The Board is opposed to this precinct closure request and is discussing possible options with State Representative Tim Bearden, County Commissioner Vicky Anderson, and Precinct Manager Lee Sundberg.

Message from Fairfield Plantation Golf Club:  Army Worms

Attention Fairfield Plantation Residents:

Golf Course Superintendent Jay Walton and Club General Manager Jeff King would like to make the community aware that “Army Worms” were discovered on the golf course yesterday.  The course and grounds have been treated as a preventive measure.

If you had Army Worms last year then you know they can kill a yard in a matter of days.  Please keep a watchful eye on your yard and if you detect any Army Worms you should treat your lawn immediately.
